As the Association of Public Health Specialists (HASUDER), we are honored to host and delighted to organize the 10th International and 28th National Public Health Congress, one of the most well- established scientific gatherings in the field of public health in our country, which will take place in Antalya between December 2–5, 2026.

Today’s world faces some of the most complex health challenges in history. Emerging and re-emerging infectious disease threats, including Ebola and Hantavirus infections, disasters, wars, forced migrations, climate change, environmental crises, growing socioeconomic inequalities and poverty, and an aging population deeply impact not only health indicators but also the sustainability of health systems and the resilience of societies. However, this situation has also made public health more important than ever before, highlighting its growing significance.

Distinguished Participants,
The current era brings not only threats but also significant opportunities. The introduction of AI-powered decision-support systems, the widespread adoption of digital health applications, big data analysis, precision and personalized medicine, new vaccine technologies, and interdisciplinary and intersectoral collaboration offer new possibilities to improve public health. Utilizing these developments for the benefit of society requires a strong public health system, more resources allocated to scientific research, strict adherence to ethical principles, visionary health leadership, and equity-oriented policies.

Dear Colleagues,
This year, we are organizing our congress under the theme of “Threats and Opportunities: New Roadmaps for Public Health.” Within this framework, contemporary and future-defining topics of public health will be scientifically discussed, including the social determinants of health, disaster preparedness and resilience, immunization, communicable and non-communicable diseases, mental health, child and adolescent health, elderly health, tobacco control, addictions (substance, digital and behavioral addictions, etc.), health promotion, climate change, environmental health, digital public health, health policies, public health workforce, and health education. Overall, building a secure future and drawing new roadmaps through a public health approach in an era of multidimensional threats will be one of the primary goals of our congress.

Dear Public Health Professionals,
Public health is a scientific field that is not limited to the prevention of diseases, but is rooted in human rights, social justice, environmental sustainability, and the holistic well-being of society, thereby promoting overall health. Effective solutions to today’s interconnected challenges can only be developed through scientific and evidence-based policies, interdisciplinary cooperation, and strong social solidarity. In this context, the fact that our congress grows stronger every year, with an increasing number of young specialists and academics, and successful field experiences from both the field and universities, enhances our hope for the future. With this understanding, we invite you to share your knowledge and experience, contribute with your scientific work, and shape the future of public health together. We believe that this congress in Antalya will contribute not only to knowledge sharing but also to strengthening our shared vision for building healthier, safer, fairer, and more resilient societies.

The future of public health will be shaped not only by defining threats but also by transforming opportunities together. Our congress is not just a scientific event; it is also an expression of solidarity, collective expertise, and hope for the future. We believe that we will contribute to a healthier future through the power of experience sharing and collective production. In this regard, we will bring together scientists, public health professionals, Ministry officials, and young researchers in a shared scientific platform and social space through conferences, panels, courses, workshops, interviews, forums, interactive discussion sessions, art events, social activities, and oral presentation sessions. We also aim to foster new collaborations among different disciplines, universities, and government institutions, to make successful practices visible, and to build a shared vision that will contribute to future public health policies.
